Rob - (BEC founder & director) native British speaker (MA, Dip. TESOL). With a background in management and corporate sales training, Rob specialises in teaching Business English. He has taught business groups for 8 years, written FCE/CAE course books and other publications on accelerated learning, mnemonic techniques and NLP.
Rather than restrict ourselves to a particular teaching style or approach, we tailor courses and lessons to meet students' unique requirements.
Teachers always offer an initial cost-free consultation prior to starting lessons in order to establish the student's level of fluency and determine any specific goals and needs.
Broadly, our chief goal is to provide holistic, balanced lessons in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere which encourages experimentation and discovery. Constantly monitoring a student's progress allows us to adapt and mould lessons to ensure the student is suitably challenged and motivated.
Student input is essential in planning relevant, interesting lessons and students are actively involved in shaping the direction and content of their studies.
Tom - native American Speaker (MA TEFL). Having taught English in primarily Asian colleges and universities for 15 years, Tom now focuses on 1-2-1 tuition with elementary and intermediate adult learners. He excels in building confidence and making lessons relaxed and enjoyable.
